Specialisation has led to the part-industrialisation of the area, making Lesaka a work centre for a great many people from neighbouring villages. The secondary sector employs more than 75% of Lesaka's working population employed in the town. The most significant activity is cold rolled steel, which employs more than 1,000 people.

Lesaka's most important industrial facility is ACERALIA Transformados S.A., which has factories in Arratzubi and Zalain. It is devoted to metal transformation and has a workforce of more than 1,000, of which more than 800 are from other localities in the district.

Near the main nucleus of Lesaka, there are also small companies devoted to building, wood and related industries, vehicle repair, etc.
