The River Bidasoa, hillsides peppered with farmhouses and numerous farm tracks would all seem to converge towards the middle of the valley, where Lesaka lies.
The landscape of Lesaka is mountainous, crossed by several rivers and countless brooks, and is also home to two reservoirs: Domiko and San Antón.
The River Bidasoa passes through this silent landscape. While its right-hand bank is occupied by the Pamplona-Irún road, the left is home to the semi-concealed remains of the now-redundant “Tren Txikito”, the old Bidasoa railway line, witness to smuggling and other adventures.
The River Onin, barely visible, but which splits Lesaka in two; a centre forged by history, which we would like you to get to know.
